Over the next 7 days we are going to feature sharing content on training the biceps and forearms – a topic of huge interest to most dudes.
Although there are numerous variations of arm curl exercises, some are better than others. But there is no such a thing as a “single best” arm exercise.
A a variety of movements are necessary for complete development of both the biceps and triceps and relying on only a few exercises can lead to overuse injuries and slower progress.
Arms training done correctly however should carry over to a fantastic set of forearms, without the need for direct forearm work.
If you are looking to enhance your forearms from direct arm work we advise you to use thick implements
Whether using dumbbells or barbells, it’s best to use thick implements (dumbbells, 2 to 2 -1/2 inches; barbells, 3 inches) – Why is this?
Thicker bars increase the training effect by activating more motor units and create tremendous increases in grip strength and forearm development.
Tune in tomorrow for further tips on developing a set of guns to be proud of.
